If you want to know how independent British cinema happens and what makes it great, join us for this special on-stage talk with 'Carol' producer Elizabeth Karlsen presented by The Bechdel Test Fest
– an ongoing celebration of women in film.
Ahead of our screening of Carol the same night as part of Film4 Summer Screen, we'll look back on a career that has seen Karlsen work on landmark successes including The Crying Game, Little Voice and Made in Dagenham, as well as recent releases Their Finest and On Chesil Beach.
Special attention will be given to Elizabeth’s ‘passion’ project Carol, directed by Todd Haynes, a film that stands as testament to just how dedicated a producer must be to pursue an artistic dream – and to realise it.
Grey Goose will be supplying complimentary dream-themed cocktails ahead of the talk to tie in with our #Film4SummerScreen
dream season. Talk starts at 19.00.
When purchased in conjunction with a ticket to Film4 Summer Screen on the same night, your Behind the Screen ticket gives you access to a reserved space in the courtyard where you can collect a second complimentary Grey Goose cocktail from the East Wing Bar.
