A night of psych, garage rock and grunge at the New Cross Inn
With their debut album out now, The Kumari are a high energy London garage/psych/melodic rock band trio. The band have 5 critically acclaimed singles/45s under their belts, released on international Indie record labels.
The Kumari have been regarded as ones to watch within London’s fledging live music scene and journalists. Described by the fuzz guitar music lover’s go to ‘Shindig Magazine’ as having “uncovered sparkle and promise”…and “a little menacing and a little enticing in equal measure” by Artrocker Magazine. Not to mention “a band to keep close tabs on, they have some major jangle yet to share” – The Knights of Fuzz ‘Garage rock bible’
Garage, punk, pop, psych and rock 'n' roll, manifest into a mighty maelstrom of malevolent and monstrous proportions.
The music of burnt pixels is a dazy and peaceful examination of life. The vocals are soaked with reverb and delay, while the effect-heavy electric guitars fill all of the spaces between, sounding like a cross between My Bloody Valentine, DIIV and (at times) Sonic Youth.
