Come let out your inner kid and join the Brainchild crew for some drinks at Copeland Park's bar…
We're installation our most ambitious commission to date in Peckham for a few weeks! It's a totally interactive installation complete with wing, seesaw and roundabout. The artwork is the result of a recent collaboration between installation artist Kristi Minchin and product designer Oscar Murray, assisted by recent graduate Natalie Seo.
Bouncing off the theory that adventure playgrounds are radical spaces for social interaction, The Playground presents the opportunity for people of all ages to connect through play. Only when all the playground components are used is the centre of the piece fully set in motion so it's a collaborative effort with other visitors to get it going.
We're launching over the weekend of the Peckham Festival. On the 14th The Playground will also be animated by a programme of performances responding to the work’s themes of community and playfulness. Expect to see playful improvisation by the Yonis, a contemporary dance collective; and work by Slam The Poet & Oli Haylett exploring intimacy in the modern world through soundscapes and rhythmic poetry.
This event is part of Peckham Festival
14-16 September 2018 but will be at Copeland Park until 7 October every day of the week 11am — 10pm.
