UoB GP Society is running interactive small group teaching sessions on prescribing, facilitated by an enthusiastic and approachable team of hospital and GP registrars.
Feedback from Birmingham medical students suggests prescribing skills is an area where further learning opportunities are wanted.
These sessions will give you the opportunity to apply and develop your skills as a future prescriber across a broad range of curriculum topics with the practical realities of life as a foundation doctor in mind.
This is a friendly and relaxed way to hone and grow your skills guided by experienced junior doctors!
WHY SIGN UP?
We all know that being a foundation doctor involves a thousand things from mastering clinical procedures, and being the all in one TTO enthusiast/curtain puller/investigation requestor, to a smattering of adrenaline-filled knife edge moments and crash calls. Yet there is one thing that you'll be doing forever whatever branch of medicine you go into and that's prescribing. It's the cornerstone of being an effective doctor and something that frequently differentiates junior doctors. It helps to be confident and knowledgable whilst knowing your limits.
