Alan Higgins is Chief Investment Officer and head of Portfolio Management at Coutts & Co Private Bank, a position which he has held since 2009. Alan has previously been Head of Fixed Income and Alternatives at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, as well as holding the position of Head of Fixed Income or Portfolio Manager at several companies including ABN Amro, Sun Alliance, Invesco and Daiwa International. Alan has also had a brief stint as a Partner at multi-strategy Hedge Fund, Orn Capital. Alan is a CFA charterholder and holds an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Bristol.
Christine Cantrell is ETF Sales Director at BMO Global Asset Management. Christine was hired in 2016 to expand BMO’s presence in the UK for ETFs, having had extensive previous experience in the field at ETF specialists State Street and ETF Securities. Christine holds an MSc in Financial Accounting from Cass Business School.
Charles Glasse joined Waverton in May 2016 as lead manager of the European Dividend Growth Fund (formerly named the European Income Fund). Charles had been managing the Fund since its inception, when he co-founded 2CG Limited in 2000. Prior to 2CG Senhouse he was at M&G (1987-2000) where he ultimately headed the Continental Europe Team and, for over a decade, managed the £400 million M&G European Dividend Fund. Charles graduated from Queen’s College, Oxford with a degree in Chemistry.
Qian Zhang, Executive Director, is a member of the Global Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities (GFICC) group in JPMorgan Asset Management. Qian is an investment specialist and is responsible for client management, product design and new business development for the Emerging Markets Debt team. An employee of the firm since 2011, Qian was previously an investment specialist covering Global Fixed Income and was based in Hong Kong before relocating to London. Prior to joining the firm, Qian worked for Merrill Lynch Tokyo where she focused on Interest Rate Derivatives. Qian obtained a B.A. in Economics and Statistics from Peking University, Beijing, China and an M.Sc. in Mathematical Risk Management from Georgia State University, U.S. Qian is a CFA charterholder.
